14 May, 2013 - Analog & Tape Media Support Retired
As of the start of Summer session Media Services will no longer offer services for analog and tape-based media such as ¾" U-matic, VHS, miniDV, DV, DVCam, laserdisc, reel-to-reel, and audio cassettes. Legacy VHS support will be continued for Secured Media Library title additions when digital versions are not available for purchase. Please contact us if you have any questions or for available processing options if you have any of these types of media.

24 April, 2013 - Consolidated Order Drop-Off & Pick-Up
The Service Desk in the basement of Central (Enarson) Classroom Building will no longer be accepting orders for Media Services. Moving forward, please bring all materials to our office in 295 Mount Hall or send them via Campus Mail. Completed orders can also be picked-up from our 295 Mount Hall office or delivered via Campus Mail. Please contact us if you require special arrangements.

Announced Friday are plans to consolidate current multiple server addresses to one unified DNS name, emedia.osu.edu, as well as institute a data expiration policy. Please read the announcement for more information.

Support hours have been changed to 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This change has been detailed in our service description. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Media Services specializes in digital media offering services in two primary areas; video production and online deilvery. We produce professional quality video and audio pieces both on location and in our studio. Also, we offer live streaming, encoding and hosting of previously produced materials, delivery of archived materials and podcasts, and several portals for academic use.

Justin has worked at OSU for over a decade begining at OARnet. He started with Media Services in 2003 and has progressed from Producer/Director, through Asistant Manager to Manger of Media Services in 2010. Justin has over 17 years of digital media and production experience. He encourages using media technology as a gateway for learning and achievement for higher education. |

Matt Carter Media Specialist carter.391@osu.edu (614) 292-5133 Matt Carter, from Huron, Ohio, began working for Ohio State in 2002 as a Systems Specialist for Classroom Services. In 2008, Matt joined the Media Services’ team as a Media Specialist while assisting in the development of digital media repositories.
